When: October 10, 2008 - date PPL submitted the Combined License (COL) application to the NRC. It has been docketed by the NRC and is currently under review.
Where: Near Berwick, PA (near PPL's Susquehanna nuclear power plant)
The COLA for PPL’s Bell Bend site was submitted in time for the potential plant to qualify for production tax credits under the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005. The Berwick site is being developed by PPL Corp. subsidiary, PPL Nuclear Development LLC.
